Mount Accessories Right to the Tent
Single channel extruded aluminum allows you to mount crossbars, shovels, traction boards, lightbars, Rotopax, and more directly to the tent frame. The aluminum construction is lighter and more durable than the ABS plastic or fiberglass used by other tent manufacturers, which have the potential of cracking over time. This is a tent frame that doubles as a gear platform, turning the exterior of your closed tent into usable mounting space for everything your rig needs.
Condensation Elimination
Not only does the aluminum open, cross-slat floor contribute to weight savings, it is a superior design that allows the tent to breathe. FSR paired it with strategically located venting across 360 degrees to virtually eliminate condensation. This is the problem every rooftop tent owner deals with, and FSR solved it with engineering instead of asking you to crack a window. Wake up to dry walls, not dripping fabric.
Intentionally Armored with Tri-Layer
To provide an insulating factor for all seasons while prioritizing a compact, lightweight design, FSR's patented Tri-Layer construction armors the entirety of this rooftop tent. The proprietary Tri-Layer tent fabric sandwiches polycotton fill between two layers of 210D ripstop, creating wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling insulation that keeps heat in during winter and blocks it during summer. This is not partial insulation on just the floor or ceiling. Every surface of the tent body is armored. FSR builds tents like a house, not a sweat box.
Built for Real-World Use
Gas-Strut Assisted Setup: Effortlessly deploy your tent once you arrive at camp. Pop 4 quick latches, push up, and the gas struts do the rest. The gas struts are designed to live on the inside, so when you are not using them, they are protected and not vulnerable to catching tree limbs or accumulating dirt. Tear down is equally fast: push it closed, latch it, drive.
Integrated Waterproof Protection: The entire tent body is completely waterproof. The integrated rainfly (210D Oxford ripstop PU 3000mm with silver blockout coating, UPF 50+) serves as an extra layer of security and shielding from the sun. No separate rainfly to wrestle with in the dark. It is built in.
Heater, AC, and Electrical Ports: Purpose-built pass-throughs for running a heater duct, AC unit hose, or electrical cable into the tent without leaving a window cracked open. A detail that matters for cold weather camping and extended trips.

What rack do I need for the Evolution V3 XL?
You need a roof rack, bed rack, or set of crossbars that can handle the tent's 184 lb weight as a dynamic load. The tent mounts to crossbars using the included universal mounting hardware. It fits on racks from Prinsu, Front Runner, Thule, Yakima, Rhino-Rack, and others. The closed footprint is 59 1/2" W x 86 1/2" L, so make sure your rack is wide and long enough to accommodate it. Can I store bedding inside the tent when it is closed?
Yes. The V3 XL is designed to store sheets, pillows, and a light comforter inside when closed. For heavier sleeping bags and bulkier bedding, FSR recommends completely deflating the mattress to create more internal storage space. The tent closes with quick latches, so packing up is fast even with bedding stored inside.
Is the Evolution V3 XL good for winter camping?
Yes. The patented Tri-Layer construction insulates the entire tent body (walls, floor, and ceiling) with polycotton fill sandwiched between two layers of 210D ripstop.
